Sereno Valley Rabbits is a small hobby rabbitry, located in the beautiful Thousand Islands region of Eastern Ontario. We ONLY breed Flemish Giants, and are dedicated to preserving the breed standard of perfection set by ARBA (American Rabbit Breeders Association).
We are a no cull breeder, meaning any of our rabbits that do not qualify for breeding or showing will be available for adoption as pets. We are proud to say that all of our rabbits are handled daily from birth and each rabbit is provided daily outside exercise in our 12 x 20 foot fenced in pen. To keep our rabbits well socialized, each rabbit is provided with "house visits" weekly. This allows us to form a unique bond with each, as well as allowing us to groom and monitor each rabbit's health, growth rate, and temperament.
Sereno Valley is currently working on Light Greys, Steels, Blacks, Whites and very soon- Blue Flemish Giants. We only breed in early spring and fall in order to give our does some rest and relaxation over the summer and winter months.
A special thankyou to Tammy Clark, of County Line Rabbits in Bloomsburg Pennsylvania. Without all her support and encouragement, we would not have had the courage to live our dream of starting our own line of Flemish Giants. We are eagerly awaiting our BLUE Buck and Doe from County Line, and will post pics as soon as soon as they're brought home in October.
Another special thankyou to Jim Richards of Willowbooke Rabbitry in North Augusta Ontario, for sharing his many years of knowledge as well as educating us on the Flemish Giant breed and coloring, along with how to show. Jim has been an invaluable mentor and has graciously provided us with our Senior White Flemish Doe; "ANGEL". Angel will be attending her first ARBA show in Cortland, NY in September so we are currently looking for complimenting buck.
Next, a thankyou to both Doris Brady of Shannondoe Rabbitry in Beaverton Ontario, for also helping us learn about Flemish Giant colors and for offering to hand deliver our junior black doe; and to Cathy Carriocoli of SunnyOaks Rabbitry in Long Island New York, for answering ALL of our questions and offering us her "tips of the trade". Both Ladies have been a wealth of information and continue to be a source of encouragement in our journey.
Last, we would like to thank Kathy & Gene Gubala of Mountain Breeze Rabbitry in Ringtown Pennsylvania. Although we have yet to meet in person; our Senior Steel Buck; "THOR" comes from their long list of champions- and has won his first leg towards his own Grand Champion status.
